Ending Human Trafficking One Ethically Sourced Mug at a Time
Introduces the issue of human trafficking, conscious consuming, and how we can each join the movement to create a traffic-free world, personally and vocationally.
acTEAvism
Guests enjoy a mix of iced teas, blend in fruits and simple syrups, take part in a traditional tea ceremony, and learn about human trafficking in the tea industry.
Coffee Cupping & Tasting
A simple version of the Specialty Coffee Association’s cupping protocol, a lot like a wine tasting. Discover how origin, processing, and roast shape flavor, and how specialty coffee and fair trade programs help end cycles of poverty and exploitation.
Chocolate Fondue Protest Party
Chocolate is one of the world’s most sold commodities, and its hidden secret is cheap labor due to human trafficking. Feast on ethically sourced chocolate, discover the link between chocolate and trafficking, learn what is being done, and sign the petition to end trafficking in the cocoa industry.
Not My Life: Viewing & Discussion
In partnership with Not My Life, we offer groups the chance to view and process this award-winning film by Oscar nominee Robert Bilheimer. Filmed on five continents, it uses firsthand footage and survivor interviews to show the scope of slavery today, offering both challenge and hope.
