Taking action in your community

Education is the first step. Here is how to turn what you learned into action.

• Know your community. Talk about where trafficking could be hiding locally. Report suspicious activity to the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888.
• Learn the signs. Use the Polaris Project guide to recognize and report trafficking.
• Raise your voice. Ask local, state, and national lawmakers for supply chain transparency, protection for survivors, and tougher laws against traffickers.
